Beethoven was an irritable man who suffered from stomach pain and later went deaf. Many historians have postulated that his condition was linked to mercury poisoning from medication taken for syphilis. A research team managed to get hold of some of the great composer’s hair and bone fragments. Follow their investigation step by step as they uncover the real reason for Beethoven’s health problems.
