The last ten years, youngsters in Flanders, like elsewhere, have lost 17% of their hearing capacity. The constant stream of decibels in our society is causing this alarming situation. OVER LEVEN set about to investigate whether the situation is as bad as it seems to be.
Together with Professor Bart Vinck of the University of Ghent, they checked the hearing capacity of young people leaving a concert. The results were shocking.
